In this Instructable, we will see how to grill Tandoori Chicken using an Air Fryer Oven

Supplies

Here I have used Aero Crisp Air Fryer Oven which also has the rotisserie function, which is not available in normal Air Fryers

Step 1: Ingredients

  1. Chicken Breast about 500 grams
  2. Ginger Garlic Paste about 4 Teaspoons
  3. Red Chili Powder 1 teaspoon
  4. Turmeric Powder 1 Teaspoon
  5. Roasted Cumin seed powder 1 Teaspoon
  6. Coriander powder 1 Teaspoon
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Cooking oil 1 Tablespoon
  9. Chicken Masala Powder 1 Teaspoon
  10. Lemon Juice from half a lemon
  11. Thick Curd 2 Tablespoons

Step 2: Prepare Chicken Breast

  1. Wash the chicken breast in clean water 2 to 3 times
  2. With a sharp knife make slits on the chicken breast
  3. Mix salt with lemon juice and apply on the chicken breast so that the juice penetrates through the slits
  4. Allow the chicken breast to marinate in lemon juice for about an hour

Step 3: Mix Ingredients

  1. Now mix all remaining ingredients together in a bowl and make a masala paste

Step 4: Attach Chicken Breast to Rotisserie Fork Set

  1. Attach the chicken breast to the Rotisserie Fork set so that the chicken breast is evenly balanced

Step 5: Apply Mixed Masala Paste to Chicken Breast

  1. Apply the mixed masala paste to the chicken breast on all sides
  2. Use your fingers to apply the masala paste inside the slits

Step 6: Tie With Cotton Thread and Allow to Marinate

  1. Once masala paste is applied to the chicken breast, tie it with cotton thread at 3 to 4 places tightly
  2. Use only cotton thread. Do not use synthetic thread
  3. Allow the masala applied chicken breast to marinate for about 2 hours

Step 7: Air Fry

  1. After marinating, attach the Rotisserie Fork set with chicken breast in the rotisserie bar notch.
  2. There is a rotisserie release handle in this model which will allow you to attach and remove the fork set easily
  3. Initially I have set the oven temperature to 200 Deg C and the frying time to 15 minutes
  4. After 15 minutes, we will check and if required air fry for some more time

Step 8: Check

  1. After completion of 15 minutes air frying at 200 Deg C, check the chicken breast with a knife
  2. Here the chicken breast is not properly grilled
  3. Air fry for another 10 minutes at 200 Deg C

Step 9: Take Out From the Air Fryer and Enjoy

  1. After the extended grilling, the chicken breast is properly grilled
  2. By pressing the rotisserie bar release button, release the fork set
  3. Using the rotisserie handle, take out the air-fried chicken breast from the oven.
  4. Cut the cotton threads from the chicken breast and remove from the rotisserie fork set.
  5. Enjoy your Air fried Tandoori chicken
