Introduction: BTInterface Android App to Control Stuff Via Bluetooth for Arduino, PC, Laptop, Raspberry Pi Etc.

BTInterface is an Android application that you can use on your phone or tablet to control stuff and much more!

As the name suggests it becomes the 'interface' to your device so not only can you control the device by pressing buttons etc. but the device can use BTInterface to do stuff such as Speak, send SMS Text messages, Recieve SMS Text messages (on phone devices) and optionally act on commands within them, so that'll be remotely controlling your remotely controlled device then :)

It can play sound effects, the controls can be configured and re-configured on the fly.

Its easiest if you zip on over to my website www.BTInterface.com to have a look as I have videos and a forum etc. but just to whet your appetite the next few lines represent commands that can be sent from the remote device over Bluetooth to BTInterface to get it to do stuff:

say Hello, did you know that you are a genius?

sms 0123456789 This is a text message from my device

Do ya' begin to see how easy and how much fun it is?

When BTInterface is running I can send it a text (if its running on a phone device, can't if its running on a tablet) with commands in it like this:

bti say Hello, did you know that you are a genius;p;p;p;sms 0123456789 this is a text message from my device initiated by sending a text message to my device

Better stop there as that is nearly the 160 character limit of a text message but you see what I mean :)

It makes developing doohickeys tremendous fun!
