Introduction: Bacony Shrimpy Goodness

We love good shrimp, but we also love to play around with recipes.  one day we were trying to decide what to do with the shrimp we had and we thought "What makes everything better?".  The answer: add bacon!

Step 1: Ingredients

1/2 lb Shrimp - cleaned, deveined, and peeled with tails left on
Bacon
3tbls Wnsalted butter
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
1 tbls Mustard of choice (we used Dijon for this batch) at room temperature
Black pepper, Season All, Powdered garlic to taste (we used a lot of garlic)
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
Cayenne pepper or Tony Chachere to taste

Step 2: Preparation

Once the shrimp and bacon are ready, you will need to make the sauce.

To do so, melt the butter and mix in all of the ingredients other than the shrimp and bacon.  If the butter begins to set, heat the mixture again to keep it liquid.

Working quickly to keep the sauce from hardening, toss the shrimp in the sauce, then individually wrap each in a half slice of bacon.

Step 3: Cooking

Place the shrimp in a frying pan with the remaining sauce and cook until the bacon is crispy.  Serve immediately.

Step 4: Conclusion

These delicious treats are great anytime.  Dip them in mustard or your favorite dipping sauceand serve with a green salad and white wine.

They are also cook wonderfully skewered over the barbeque for outdoor entertaining.
