Step 1:

Step 2: Materials

Materials for one bag:
- Rol of burlap
- Pair of scissors
- Needle and thread
- Firm piece of cord
- Pen
- A basket you want to drape

Step 3: Cut the Burlap to Desired Dimensions

You should be able to wrap the piece of burlap round your basket. Place your basket so that you have a piece thats large enough to serve as bottom.
Leave some burlap at the top so you can make a nice border.

!!! Make sure that you have some spare centimeters to sew the burlap together.

Step 4: Cut the Correct Template

For a rectangular sack you schould have 5 sides (one bottom and four sides).

Step 5: Eliminating Frayed Edges

To get nicely finished edges, fold the frayed edges over about one centimeter. Fold this again and sew the edges together.
For extra strength you can double take the thread.

Step 6: Sew Bag Together

Sew the edges together until you become a nice bag.
Start sewing on the inside, when you're finished you can turn the bag inside out to get a finished result.

Step 7: Add Cords to Button Up Your Bag

Take a thick cord and sew it straight with rough stitches at the top of the bag. Make little knots to prevent the cord from pulling through.

Step 8: Finish

Take a cord in a nice looking colour to finish your bag. Fold the top border to the outside and sew it with a straight stitch.
If you want you can sew a logo or text to personalise your bag even more.
