Carrington the Cupcake!

2 year old Carrington wanted to be a pink cupcake, so we made her this costume out of a spray painted waffle lampshade that we turned upside down. Next, we cut two holes in the front and two in the back to loop suspenders through the lampshade to keep it up on her shoulders. After that, we took pink fabric and sewed the ends together and stuffed it with polyfill. We spiraled it into a coil and tacked the layers together, being careful to leave holes for her arms. We repeated the process to make her hat. We then bought multi-colored pompoms and hot glued them on to represent sprinkles, and hot glued a large, red Christmas ornament on top as a cherry!
