Cast Model Walls

In the making of my scenery I have found many ways to make items I need at a lower cost. So here is another of my "I made it at TechShop". I needed some small block walls for the track sides and tunnel areas. So here was one of the first ways I did them. I used the vacuum former and resin casting. I started with a stock plaster sheet and used a hobby knife to carve it to what I wanted.

Step 1: Making Mold

I then put the form on the vacuum former and made the mold.

Step 2: Casting

Using a basic resin from the hobby store I cast the walls.

Step 3: Finishing

Now that they are made you need to wash the blanks off to get the mold release off, and paint them.
Now you have walls to cut as you need.
