here is a laser cnc i made which can engrave materials like Stainless steel, Painted metal, wood and etc. this laser has the power to cut wood also. the laser module is PLH3D-6W-XF professional engraving laser head from a company called Opt Lasers.

to show power of the laser module, i will make few projects with this laser cnc. so stay tuned.

Step 1: 6 Watt Laser Module (the Weapon of the Cnc)

Step 2: Designing and Figuring Out the Layouts

started with some hand drawing of how the cnc should look like.

Step 3: 3d Printed Some Parts

after make some rough stretches, it was then designed i fusion 360.

Step 4: The Whole Base of the Laser Cnc

the base consist of the mdf wood and aluminum work area.

Step 5: Pcb and Wiring of the Cnc

pcb perfboard was used for easy development of the board

Step 6: Fluorescent Orange Acrylic Sheet

for protection

Step 7: Enclosure for the Cnc

made an enclosure for the cnc with aluminium cladding material.

This would be my 6th cnc machine to build.The cnc machine was build with recycled part like stepper motors and linear rods from old printers.

Took around 30 days to build it, as most of the days went is hunting for parts.
