Introduction: Easy Minecraft Duplication Glitch

About: huge geek with a creative drive and too much free time

Have you ever wanted to duplicate an item in Minecraft? And have you noticed that most of these glitches require two players? Are you having any trouble connecting to these players just to find the glitch isn't working right? Well, in this Instructable, you'll learn how to easily duplicate any Minecraft item with only one player! This only works on survival mode, as you cannot store anything in chests in creative mode. Let's get started!

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

You will need:
1 chest (any size)- any amount of an item

Step 2: Place the Item

Place any amount of the item you want duplicated in the chest. If your chest is empty, I find it much easier to get the item back out later. You can use any item! In the picture, there is a diamond. You can use any item at all!

Step 3: Close Out

Now, you'll see a little "x" button in the corner of your chest. Press this and you'll return to your game.

Step 4: Open the Chest

In other tutorials, you'll see things like "Wait 12 seconds" or "Wait 20 seconds". I tried this, and I also tried not even waiting. You don't even have to wait, surprisingly!

Step 5: Back to Inventory

Now, open the chest back up and touch the item you just placed in your chest. This will place it in the inventory.

Step 6: Close Out

Now you can close out of Minecraft COMPLETELY. Going to your home page of your device isn't going to work, so you have to double-tap your home button, slide up, and then return to the homepage of your device (this is how to do it on an Apple device).

Step 7: Open Back Up

Now, open Minecraft back up.

Step 8: Open Up Chest

Okay, so now you're going to open back up the chest and...

Step 9: Behold the Glorious Power of the Glitch!

You'll have DOUBLE of the item you just placed in the chest! Ta da! This glitch should work on most devices, and it may or may not work on the Xbox or computer version. Enjoy your items!
