Introduction: Giant Dessert Cookie

This Giant Dessert Cookie combines the two best things: pizza and cookie together. It is the size of a pizza, with the great taste of a cookie.

Step 1: Preparation

Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius).
Grease two pie-tins with butter or cooking spray.

Step 2: Assemble Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Toppings: 3 cups ice cream, assorted sprinkles, etc.

Step 3: Combine Ingredients

1. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt in a medium size bowl. Then set mixture aside.
2. In a seperate bowl beat the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla together until the mixture is light and creamy.
3. Combine both mixtures togehter and stir until blended.
4. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Step 4: Place Dough

Split the dough into two even parts. Put each part in a separate pie-tin, and press down to create a uniform layer.

Step 5: Bake

Insert pie-tins into preheated oven, and bake for 15 to 17 minutes, or until edges and tops are lightly toasted.

Step 6: Remove and Cool

Remove the pie-tins from the oven and allow them to cool.

Step 7: Toppings

Whip the ice cream until it obtains soft serve consistency. Cover the Giant Dessert Cookie with the whipped ice cream, add sprinkles and toppings as you desire.
