HOW TO MAKE a SIMPLE PORTABLE SOIL DRYNESS SENSOR

Hello Everyone in this instructable i am going to show you how to make a simple "SOIL DRYNESS SENSOR".This is my first instructable sorry for my funny english. The dryness of the soil is identified using the led indication.The led light will glow if the soil is dry.The difference between a normal dryness sensor(picture shown above) and this one is it works only in digital mode.A normal soil dryness sensor consist of both analog pin and digital pin.But this circuit only give output as 0 and 1.if the soil is wet.0 will be the output(LED OFF) and if the soil is dry 1(LED ON) will be the output. If you need to make a soil dryness sensor without digital potentiometer or in simple way you are in the correct place.

Step 1: MATERIALS REQUIRED

1-BC547 transistor(NPN)

1-LED

1-220 ohm resistor

2-(1.5v) AA battery

Soldering machine

electric tape

and some wires

2 Safety pins

Safety pins goes to ground.Solder the one side of AA batteries together using soldering machine.

Step 2: CIRCUIT DIAGRAM

Give the connections as per the circuit diagram. Use ur solder machine and give the connections as per the circuit diagram.After soldering use the electric tape and cover the entire circuit.
