Introduction: How to Make a Morning Star

No, mine is worse than the original.

Step 1: About

The Morning Star was a weapon used in the 1300s. It was usually made of metal and wood, and sometimes just metal. The head was of metal and covered in sharp metal spikes. The spikes distinguished it from a mace, which could have flanges or small knobs.

Step 2: My Design

Here is my design. I thought it would be better to draw a design first.

Step 3: You Will Need

A large paper ball. Quarter is in the photo for comparison.
A sturdy cardboard tube. I used a Plastic Wrap tube.
Aluminum foil.
Not shown, Felt glue or strong glue.
Not shown, a piece of paper.

Step 4: Foilize!

I know it is a terrible photo, but wrap the paper ball in foil. Squeeze it and give it a round shape.

Step 5: Attach

Put a small piece of paper on the top of the tube. Glue it on. Put glue on the bottom of the ball and glue on top of the paper. Glue the two together. Let dry completely.

Step 6: Spikes

Make three foil spikes and glue them to the ball. Leave facing up so they don't fall over. Let dry completely. Repeat wherever you want more spikes.

Step 7: Done!

Enjoy your new Morning Star! It is a display only though.
