In this instructable I will show you how to make a great paper animation.

Step 1:

Things you need:
  • blank paper
  • scissors
  • tape
  • Large black construction paper (22" x 25")
  • computer
  • camera
  • measuring tape (optional)

Step 2:

  1. First you will need a 22" x 25" peice of black construction paper.
  2. Lay the contruction paper flat on a table and tape all corners down with any kind of tape (scotch tape recommended).

Step 3:

  1. Draw out the characters you want on your blank paper.
  2. Draw some more pictures of the charcter in various positons (like a running or standing position).
  3. Cut out all the characters you want then set them aside.
  4. If you want you can cut out thin strips of paper that can be your ground.

Step 4:

  1. Set up your scene by placing down the ground. Position it at the bottom of the frame.
  2. Put your characters down in the starting positions you want them to be in.

Step 5:

  1. To animate your character move them a little bit every time you take a picture.
  2. If you want you can use your characters other poses and swap them out with the character on the construction paper to make them walk, run, etc.

Step 6:

Once you have taken all the pictures then you can transfer them onto a video editing software for editing.
