This laptop stand is completely made out of cardboard and has a useful organizer that gets hidden once the laptop is placed on top of it. It's perfect to store all of those cables and stuff that you may need while using your computer.

I needed to keep my Macbook Air 11'' higher, at least as high as a regular 15'' laptop would be. That's actually my habit speaking since I was used to a 15'' notebook :D

Other than this, my cat keeps jumping on my desk playing with all of my usb keys and cables so I really needed a place where I could store all of them.

I joined these 2 needs and came up with the idea for this cardboard stand.

It's extremely cheap (I spent nothing) since I used some cardboard I had from an old box.
Despite the text printed on some of it I decided to keep it that way, but you are free to paint or cover it with whatever you like, of course!

Step 1: Supplies

white glue
ruler

Step 2: Cut the Pieces

The first pieces you need for this stand are 2 identical right triangles 25 x 13cm (9.84''x 5.11''). The diagonal side will be about 28cm (11'').
All you have to do is drawing them on cardboard and carefully cut them with a cutter.

If you follow this size you'll obtain a stand that is 13cm tall.

Other than these 2 triangles you need 3 rectanglular pieces of 3 different sizes:

30 x 10 cm (11.81'' x 3.93'')
30 x 8 cm (11.81'' x 3.14'')
30 x 5 cm (11.81'' x 1.96'')

Step 3: Make Some Cuts

Draw a 10cm (3.93'') tall strip that is as thick as your cardboard's thickness, at about 1cm from the short side of the triangles. My cardboard is 0,6 cm thick so the strip I made is 10 x 0,6 cm.
The strip must touch the bottom border, as you can see in the picture.

Drawing it at 1cm from that side is not necessary, it can be a little less or a little more, what's important is that you keep the same distance for both triangles.

Now draw a 8cm (3.14'') strip at about 6,5cm (2.55'') from the previous one and cut both of them out being very accurate.

Step 4: A Few More Cuts...

You still need to make a couple of cuts:

take the smallest rectangular piece and draw a thin strip at 3cm (1.18'') from the short side. This strip must be as thick as the others and 3cm tall.

Do this on both sides of the rectangle and cut them out.

Step 5: Compose the Stand

When you are done cutting all of the pieces, apply some glue in the triangle's cut and insert the 2 biggest rectangles in them, placing the triangles at 3cm (1.18'') from the rectangles' sides.
Of course, the 8cm rectangle must go into the 8cm cut, and the 10cm rectangle in the 10cm cut.

Put some glue in the remaining rectangle's cuts now and insert it in the triangles, at about 10cm (3.93'') from the middle rectangular piece.
Please take a look at the picture to understand what I mean.

Step 6: Make the Base

Cut 2 more rectangles out of cardboard: these must be as big as the bottom sections of your stand.

These are the sizes I made, but they may be slightly different than yours so make sure to measure your base first:

23,2 x 8,5 cm (9.13'' x 3.34'')
23,2 x 6,5 cm (9.13'' x 2.55'')

Once you've cut them, put some glue on their borders and place them at the bottom of your stand, making sure to insert them in the 2 sections so that they won't change the height of the stand, as you can see in the pictures.

When the glue is dry, you can finally start using your new laptop stand and fill it with all you need!
