Introduction: My Tube! Stereo Sub Woofer Speakers for I-pod and Mp3 Second Version(with Batteries and USB Charger)

My quarter realization is a complicated more of precedent but it is not null of difficult to realize.
Draft of two self powered cases stereo to batteries reloadable with possibility to recharge the i-pod
through a taken USB fed from the same batteries.
These can be very useful in camping,to the sea and also in house for being free from cables of feeding.Regarding the form me it appealed to this form 'post modern'.slender as if the cases of residual the war ones were penetrated in the land,or, however they gave that sense of accidental that it appeals to me.

Step 1: The Tube

The container consist in a  P.V.C.heavy tube.
In order to create the slender form I have executed a cut of 45? ,with the aid of one level laser (but it is not sure the only possible way).

Step 2: The Cases

After to have cut the measure tube with a hack-saw from iron of two various measures (that longest one will lodge the amplifier),I have constructed with of the compensated wood of 2 mm ,lodgings for the speakers and the inferior stoppers for the cases.
In this situation I have used glue to the neoprene.

Step 3: The Speakers Now!

The speaker they have been recovered from an out of order radio receiver and have a power of 3 w r.m.s.. I have intentional to add us off tweeters the liabilities in thin cardboard for to balance better in the high tones.
The construction of these as been much simple one; a useful council is to determine the proportions to the minimal diameter of the loudspeaker (to look in figure).
As glue I have used the vinyl glue.
At last I have colored with black opaque spray in order to harmonize.

Step 4: The Glue "1000 Nails" (1000 Chiodi) Very Powerful!

In order to fix the speakers to the cases, after to have connected every one of they to a thread fragment marking the positive pole, I have used a called glue : "1000 chiodi" (1000 nails). Draft of a glue that guarantees an mechanical resistance of 100 kg/mq.

Step 5: The Ballast

In order to maintain in equilibrium the cases I had to add an inner ballast, in their part lowland. in order to obtain it has used of the chalk from taken mixed to sand and little ones know themselves mixed in equal parts. After to have made a paste homogeneous using the water I have strained it in the inferior part of the cases. Naturally it was necessary to leave the place of the amplifier from a part and the package batteries from the other free. In order to make this I have constructed of the small box them of cardboard filled up of paper in order to obtain the just spaces in the ballast.

Step 6: The Electronics Components.

The construction to the project is considerable simplifying to presence of the amplifier stereo 5+5w ,that I ave "extract" from an old portable radio; and from the presence of the stabilizing integrated to the tension of 5 volts. And now the inlustraction of the components :the speakers: of recovery from a demolished radio ,the amplifier: also this is of recovery and is an audio end of one radio stereo years 80, its power is of approximately 5w. 2x battery-holder of 8 batteries AA ni-cd in order to catch up 9,6 v (the radio was fed to 9v). 9,6 1x charge-batteries ni-cd, of it I had in house I have, it taken apart and I have gained the outline and is of easy realization (the outline is in step the outlines). 1x 7805 stabilizer 5v several cables, thorns, switch of ignition and charge.

Step 7: The Holes, the Color Spay ,the Written Ones.

This phase, that it is that of the finish and the system phase is proceeded nearly parallel. Regarding the protection of the speakers I have used the net of protection removed from the same radio of the speakers. I have opportunely cut it to measure I have and it blocked with an obtained plastic edge bending like in figure a cover of groove for wirings (from inside) cut from the part of the length. For the edge, I have heating with a hair-dryer in order to render it softer. I have coloured of black-opaque spray the edges. I have therefore blocked all with two wires in the just position in order to avoid to damage the speaker.
Regarding the words of the several commands, I have used, in "World" of Windows the type of writing "impact" that I have printed in photographic paper in order to better fix the ink to the paper .
As first phase I have masked the loudspeakers in order to avoid to color them. Then I have colored of color white man spray acrylic all the surface; I have then attacked in the just places written and the figures using glue cyanoacrilic. At last I have given to two transparent varnish hands spray in order to obtain a more luminous aspect and in order to better fix the written ones to the support .

Step 8: The Outline of the Connection

The outline electrical worker of the job is much easy one .
The only a little delicate thing is the connection of the integrated one to the cable usb: as it can be seen I have connected the two you spin "data" to mass in order to avoid the entrance of it marks them undesired.
If someone will want to realize the local power source the only warning it is that to maintain the resistance of two watt distanced from all for two centimeters approximately because in phase of charge to heat a lot.

Step 9: The Wiring

In order to begin I have executed all the weldings of the pins .
After this I have lodged the pins and the switches in the appropriate lodgings.
Integrated circuit I have berthed it to 7805 to the holder-batteries for comfort
cianoacrylic glue.

Step 10: The Test and the Closing

I have carried the cases to the open air and have raised the sonorous volume gradually.
The sound is maintained cleaned up with a good yield of lows also ;however above a sure level verification a sure distortion.
In order to obtain the inferior closing of the cases I have cutting of the alveolar plastic (much resistant and malleable one) in way to close the amplifier and the batteries but, in the same time to create a cavity useful in order to contain cables. From a part I have left space for cable usb and double cable channel left and feeding, and from the other the cable jack stereo input.
Over of this I have created a cover like in figure in order covering all. In order to stop all this I have used a dowel from wall type fischer from 6 bottoming drill to lowland speed milimeter with relative screw and washer. In order to obtain the hole for the fischer I have used a bottoming drill to lowland speed with a tip from wall. In order to this I must admit that it has been an error not to directly to incorporate the fischer to still fresh paste.

Step 11: And in Order to Recharge?

In order to carry out the charge of the batteries a time of three hours is necessary. Theoretically to the end of the charge the led red it would have to be extinguished but in the tests that I have carried out this did not happen; in any case after three hours, for emergency I have interrupted the charge that has turned out optimal.
Also the charge of the mp3 has been effective and fast but it is not possible to listen to music meantime as verification I prime audio.

Step 12: Final Appraisals

I think myself satisfied of the job, even if would have wished to equip my cases of a small control of volume that for simplicity I have not made, taking advantage to me only of the connected the-pod or control mp3.
Me it would be liking also to make so that the cases could be attacked with in the inferior part for an easy transport (with all cables in the appropriate cavities). At the end I have not made it because it would have been too much complicated.
I make excuses myself for my lame English. If you have clarification questions they are to your disposition for how much me will be possible. A salute to all from Torx and goods bye to the next Instructable. Bye
