Introduction: Organizer for Battery Powered Tools

This is an organizer for my hand held battery operated tools. It works great and is easy to make. You don't need to be close on the tolerances and it will keep the tools organized so you know if they are being used or not.

Supplies

4" Schedule 40 pipe, 1.250" screws (two for each holster). Also a jig saw to cut the slots and a drill to put the screws into the wood. Drills to drill the holes in the conduit and also a larger drill for the had of the screw to fit into. A long screw driver or an extension on your hand held power drill also would work.

Step 1:

The first thing you need to do is to measure the size of the cut out. You can make a template or just go to it as if you make it too small you can always enlarge it. You can fit the tools to the Schedule 40 PVC and mark it up as needed. After you have the cut out built you can then cut the holes for the screws. At the back end you are going to need some way to get to the back screw and I found that a larger hole for the screw head to fit through and the extension on my hand held drill works great. You could also use a screw driver and push really hard to make the screw go into the wood.

Step 2:

After it is all done you are going to want to mount this so that the holders are either flush or a bit proud. I found flush worked well for me. Now hang your tools and enjoy the new found organization.
