Photography Ring Light V2

Hello guys. The ring light is one of the most amazing lighting gears for portrait photographers. This is our second one we made. We thought it will be nice to share it with you and show you the steps how we made it.

Note:

This project was made in FABLAB Dhahran by Jafar Alobaid and Hussain Alhudhud.

Step 1: Requirements

For this project we will need:

• Light bulbs (25). ( We used LED - 6500K)
• MDF wood. ( we used 15mm thickness)
• Light sockets (25).
• Power switch. (optional)

and we will need a CNC machine to cut the design.

Step 2: 2D Design

For the design we made a circle with a diameter of 1 meter.

This circle will hold two sets of lights. The outer set will contain LED bulbs and the small circle will contain 10 LED bulbs.

Note:

• Make sure to measure the diameter of the sockets correctly before you cut the design.

Step 3: Assembly

Once you finish cutting the body, it's time now to connect the lights together. This is really a simple circuit but it will take some time to finish.

Just take your time and be patient.

Step 4: Final Product

Here's our final product. We were very happy with the final result and the quality of the images we took :)
