* I used 8ply/ weight 3 cotton yarn however you can also use acrylic or wool or any other blend of yarn that you prefer.

** This pattern makes a one size fits all as it is made to be over sized, however, the pattern can be easily adapted to make larger or smaller sizes but increasing or decreasing the amount of rows done for each colour.

Step 1: Back Panel

Create a sl knot with your first colour and ch 122

Row 1: do a half dc in the 3rd ch from the hook. Place 1 half dc in every ch.

Row 2: Ch 2, this will count as your first half dc for this row, place 1 half dc in the next and continue doing this until the end of the row.

Repeat this another 6 times until you have a total of 8 rows, cut and tie of your yarn.

Attach you second colour, ch 2 and place one dc in every st. Do this a total of 8 times.

Repeat this process for all seven colours a total of 12 times

Step 2: Front Panels

Create a sl knot with your first colour and ch 122

Row 1: do a half dc in the 3rd ch from the hook. Place 1 half dc in every ch. Row 2: Ch 2, this will count as your first half dc for this row, place 1 half dc in the next and continue doing this until the end of the row. Repeat this another 6 times until you have a total of 8 rows, cut and tie of your yarn.

Attach you second colour, ch 2 and place one dc in every st. Do this a total of 8 times.

You will repeat this process a total of 6 times. Cut and tie off your yarn

*You will repeat this process a second time to complete the second front panel

Join the front panels to the back panel using single crochet along the tops and side leaving another of a gap for the armholes.

Sew in all ends to make sure none of them get loose then cut any stray pieces.
