RoboCan

For your consideration is robocan, a robotic trash can made using Fusion 360. Robocan uses an array of futuristic sensors and computer vision to detect various waste product groups such as metal, plastic or spoiled food. Robocan then sorts the waste products into the appropriate bin for recycling, or composting, greatly simplifying the modern home. Robocan can be deployed in a home setting where recycling is a chore. The design of robocan features a handle on top so the trash contents can be easily accessed, an indicator light ring to show when a compartment is full, a mechanically actuated chute to release the waste products into the proper sub-bin and a mechanically actuated bin rotor to receive the sorted waste. Robocan is not only meant to help run a modern home but also have a positive ecological impact on our Earth, one more step towards sustainability.
