Introduction: Saitek Throttle Quadrant Knob Repaint

I decided to repaint the throttle knobs soon after receiving the product, and I like my decision. It now looks realistic.
This is a simple instructable
Here are the items you'll need:
Throttle Quadrant :-)
White Gloss spray paint
Sharpie
Stick with four branches or something else to hold the knobs when painting
Mask
Goggles
2 of the 3 throttle knobs
4 engine throttle knob

Step 1: Painting

Now what I would suggest is that you paint and let dry only one of the knobs to see how it will turn out. If you like the result, than continue. Here are some safety precautions for spray painting:
Where a mask so that you don't breathe in the fumes
Where goggles so that paint can't find its way into your eyes
Paint when wind is minimal

If you follow these instructions, you should be fine.

Before painting, make sure you read the spray can to see what the drying time is for the paint. All spray paints are different, so make sure that you do that.

Find a place to put the stick in the ground so that you have a sturdy stand.
Put the two single engine throttles on
Next, put the 4 engine knob on the biggest branch so you have the most support
Next, GET PAINTING

Step 2: Writing Engine Numbers on the Knobs

For this step, you need a sharpie.
You could use a stencil to have perfect numbers, but it is quite difficult to do. I recommend just carefully handwriting it.
Make sure that the knobs are dry.'
After writing it on, ENJOY

The next step is how you set up the reverse thrusters for Microsoft Flight Simulator X

Step 3: Reverse Thrusters

Now, it took me a while to figure this out, but the red part on the quadrant acts as a button that is activated when pulling the knobs all the way down. What you need to do in Flight Simulator X is go to the settings, click on controls, buttons, and look for decrease throttle quickly. Only set it for one of the knobs. For the blue knob on the very right (which I use for the flaps), I use the red area for arming the speed brakes. That way when the flaps are full, the speed brakes arm for landing.

Thank you and I hope you find this instructable easy to understand.
