Introduction: Snap Circuits AM Radio (Great for Wimbledon!)

It is without the speaker in this pic because it allows for more viewing without it.

Step 1: The Parts

To check prices of the parts and/or buy them. Do not feel obliged to buy them on here.

The parts needed:

1 Slide switch

1 Amplifier IC (U4)

1 High Frequency IC (U5)

1 Speaker (SP)

1 Aerial (A1)

2 Battery Ports (B1) (or you can use x2 B4 for) These are referred to as Battery 1 and Battery 2.

3 Resistors (10k, 100k, Variable Resistor)

4 Capacitors (10uf, 0.1uf, 0.02uf, Variable Capacitor)

7 2-snap wires

3 1-snap wires

1 4-snap wire

1 7-snap wire

That's all!

Step 2: Assembly Part 1

Put the battery holders contacts (or the B4) over positions: Battery 1 - A, 1, 2, 3. Battery 2 - C, D, E, 1. Batteries are in!

Now, put U4's main box facing Battery 2.. It's contacts either side of the box should be a 3-snap wire away from Battery 2's -/+ and Battery 1's -. Join the Battery 1 - contact to the side of the amplifier with a SP. Then join Battery 1's + contact and Battery 2's contact with a Slide Switch. Join Battery 1's contact to the other side of the yellow plastic box with a 3-snap. You can use the pics instead of me rambling on. IMPORTANT NOTE: THE PICTURE IS MISSING A SPEAKER. THAT IS DELIBERATE AS ALL PEOPLE WHO READ THE INTRO WILL KNOW. Thank you. (end of part 1)

At the end it will look like the above many-times-repeated pic. That always has an important note. That one. The one with no speaker.
