Introduction: Swaddling a Fussy Baby

Babies are often fussy because they are struggling to adjust to life outside the womb. Swaddling is an excellent way to mimic the snug conditions of a mother's womb.
To swaddle your baby, start by placing a large square blanket onto a flat surface and fold down one of the corners.

Step 1: Step 2

Place the baby at the center of the folded corner.

Step 2: Step 3

Wrap the left hand corner snugly behind the baby's back.

Step 3: Step 4

Bring the bottom corner up over the baby's feet and tuck it tightly behind his right shoulder, on top of the piece of blanket his laying on.

Step 4: Step 5

Hold the baby's hands down has you wrap the last remaining corner around the baby and back to the front.

Step 5: Step 6

Don't be afraid to wrap the blanket at tight as you can. Babies love the snug feeling!
