Introduction: T.A.P Bot 2.0 - the Wireless S.W.I.P.E Bot

About: Youtube: www.youtube.com/channel/UCh5aXlcWXmVQ4ipj0y3qjbw?&ab_channel=SimpleCircuits

This is a redesigned version of the T.A.P BOT made by the user, souichi.

Originally, I was looking at ways to prevent losing all my loot in the popular game called "Clash of Clans". After viewing the T.A.P BOT instructable, I realized that the tools I had were better suited to create a Swipe Bot, A compact, gauge-styled mechanism that can sweep left to right using a servo motor.

This project took me about an hour to make and all the major components that were used can be found on Gearbest.com. Using this Device, your games will always be online. The Swipe bot does not require an external power supply because it uses a rechargeable, 9V battery. Alternatively, a usb power cable may also be used if necessary. The tripod mount platform is fully compatible with all types of smartphones with touchscreens. For demonstration purposes, I was using the LG G4 but it also works well with the LG Optimus G and iPod Touch.

As always, you are more than welcome to create your own version and post it in the comment section below.

Step 1: Components Used in This Project

Most of the items that were used in this instructable can be found at Gearbest.com. Additionally, I also used other tools that were not mentioned here such as double sided tape and hot glue for setting up the components.

Complete list of components:

GOOP 9V Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery

TowerPro SG90 Micro Steering Gear Servo

Universal Tripod Mount Adapter

Arduino Compatible Uno R3 Rev3 Development Board

Black Electrical Insulation Tape

Metal Touch Stylus Pen

Step 2: Stylus

Initially, this stylus can only be used if it makes direct contact with your fingers. In order to make this stylus hands free, the metal piece needs to be connected to the GND pin using jumper cables. Tin foil was used to fill the hollow part of this device while a piece of jumper wire was used to connect to the GND pin of the Arduino.

Step 3: Wiping

The servo motor was glued onto a Large piece of lego to achieve the Windshield-like Wiping effect. This component will control the speed, range and hardness of the stylus while it is in motion. The lego piece can still be removed from the servo if you need to adjust it further. The stylus from the previous step can be attached to the end of the lego piece using tape. I used small amount of tape to prevent the Stylus from pressing too hard on the screen.

Step 4: Incased

In this step, enclose the 9V battery within the development board by adding a layer of electrical tape or double sided tape. Be sure that the battery does not touch the board directly. I used the 9v power cable to connect the battery to the arduino. If you wish to use the usb power cable, you can skip this step and move onto the the next one.

Step 5: Platform

Lastly, add the Phone mounting platform on top of the device and strap it down using a cable tie. As for cable management, all the wires can be neatly tucked away, behind the arduino board.

Step 6: Emulator

Here is the code, it is just a simple servo sweep code.
