Introduction: ULTRASONIC SENSOR ROBOT

EVER WANTED TO MAKE A ROBOT THAT CAN SENSE THE REAL WORLD LIKE YOU ?

IF,YES THIS INSTRUCTABLES IS FOR YOU.

ULTRASONIC SENSOR ROBOT USES THE ULTRASONIC SENSOR AND WITH THE HELP OF A MICROCONTROLLER SUCH AS ARDUINO AVOIDS OBSTACLES AND CAN BE PROGRAMMED TO PERFORM MORE TRICKS.IT IS VERY EASY TO MAKE AND IT IS HIGHLY CUSTOMIZABLE.

I ALSO GAVE IT A STAR WARS STYLE.

Step 1: GATHER THE NECESSARY PARTS

1.ARDUINO UNO.

2.ULTRASONIC SENSOR.

3.MOTOR SHIELD.

4. GEARED D.C. MOTORS(2).

5.SOME WIRES.(JUMBER WIRES PREFEREBLY)

6.BATTERY(9V).

7.SERVO(OPTIONAL)

TOOLS

1.SCREW DRIVER.

2.SOLDERING IRON.

Step 2: SCHEMATICS

CONNECT THE PARTS AS THE DIAGRAM.

ULTRASONIC SENSOR CONNECTIONS.

SENSOR PINTO ARDUINO PIN

VCC to 5V

TRIG to PIN 12

ECHO to PIN 13

GND to GND

MOTOR SHIELD

CONNECT THE MOTORS TO ANY OF THE FOUR MOTOR

PORTS.(IN MY PROGRAM I HAVE USED MOTOR PORT THREE AND FOUR)

Step 3: PROGRAM THE ROBOT IN ARDUINO IDE.

COPY AND PASTE THE CODE IN ARDUINO IDE AND UPLOAD IT TO YOUR ARDUINO

IMPORTANT!!

YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD THE ADAFRUIT MOTOR SHIELD LIBRARY FROM ADAFRUIT WEBSITE BEFORE EXECUTING THE CODE.

SOME MODIFICATION OF CODE MAY BE REQUIRED ACCORDING TO YOUR CHOICE.
