Introduction: WIRELESS SPEAKER USING LASER

About: Hai I am sathish kumar, PCB Design Engineer.I likes to make weekend projects with things mostly from scrap yard in order to recycle and also to reduce cost of project.

It will be always fun to play with music and with lights,here it is
the project “Wireless audio transmitter” has both music and light which is to connect the audio source device such as laptop,mobile phone ,dvd player ,etc.., and speaker through laser light .This works perfect for straight line communication of distance 50 meter and more (depends on laser quality ).

This device has two sections i.e, transmitter circuit as sender at audio source side and receiver at speaker side

Step 1: THIS IS HOW IT WORKS

The working principle of this device is very simple by varying the intensity of laser beam according to the amplitude of audio signal and directed towards receiver section solar panel,as it involves in audio amplification modulation transmission demodulation amplification and output (to speaker)

Step 3: TRANSMITTER

The transmitter section contains an lm386 based audio amplifier circuit which will amplify the audio signal from the mobile phone (source),which is the connected the laser light. As audio signal is nothing but variation in the amplitude and frequency of continuous signal, so depends on the amplitude variation in the audio the intensity of laser light will get varied which should be directed towards receiver side circuit

The audio to this transmitter is given through 3.5mm audio jack from mobile or any other audio out from other devices.this incoming signal will be amplified by lm386 audio amplifier and used to vary the intensity of laser beam.

Step 4: RECEIVER

In receiver side it has an solar panel on which the modulated laser beam should made to flow.The solar panel will now convert the laser beam back to variation voltage level similar to audio signal. Now it is amplified by lm386 audio amplifier and send to speaker

Thus the simple wireless laser speaker was made.
