You can make balls out of breadcrumbs, but they'd be some kind of "cake" or "dumpling". Do you want something like meat which isn't (i.e. soya- or myco- protein) or to use bread? L

use breadcrumbs, mashed beans of some kind ( lentils and chickpeas are my favorite) an egg to bind it, onions, garlic and any other seasoning. mix all the ingredients together and roll into balls. bake in an oven or fry them in a pan until there cooked through. then use them however you like :)
