I have just the ting you need. This book covers everything in "Barney Style"-- a phrase we use in the Marine Corps to mean "as stupidly simple as possible."

It is called "Robot Building for Beginners" by David Cook. Great book. I talks about the hows, the whys, and the wheres, has plans for a robots with a detailed parts list, plenty of pictures, and assumes you have no prior knowledge. I would order it on Amazon. It will run you about $35, but it's worth it.

One you order it, to help pass the time while you wait, be sure to hit this up:

A fun little project that will get you set up for the book.

I'm going to school to study robotics, so if you have any questions, please feel free to message me!
My high school campus has a class in robotics engineering for 9th graders. The only requirement is Algebra 2. You learn C programming, structural design, and intermediate circuitry. It is so freaking awesome. Tailor made for me.
