what kind of cameras do military uav's use?

You know Call of Duty 4, in the AC-130, or in any helicopter, they have the white-on-black image, possibly nightvision or IR, that isn't the best quality but gives it the targeting computer look? What is that Called?

It's called FLIR.

Forward Looking Infra Red

It's quite expensive, but I think it is available to the general public, but not nearly the same quality as the Military or Law Enforcement grade.

Night Vision uses whatever light there is available and amplifies it, kinda like turning the contrast up on a TV screen. IR (infra-red) compares the difference in heat coming from things (your body heat is greater than the bookshelf you are standing next to, car engines make lotsa heat, jet engines make way more than cars, etc.).
