Introduction: How to Build the Ray Gun From Call of Duty

this is the famed ray gun from call of duty. i made this in my spare time and it toke around 3 days to make but looks pretty realistic.

material: small switch, taplight, milk handles, pvc pipe, cheep remote for a car, 12volt battery thing that goes on top of the metal parts, card board, hot glue and glue gun, and miscelaneous things.

this is a cool project and alot of fun to make, enjoy :)

Step 1: The Layout

to start out you have to get all of your materials. print out the raygun pic and figure out what needs to go where. take your tap light and take of the covers and set the other things from the in side aside. this will be the back as you can see.

next take the controller and see how big a hole you need to cut out from the cover, cut it out when you have the lines. when done with the cut out tape the two tap light covers together and connect them to the controller with the hot glue. like in the picture glue around the seams of the tap lights and take the tap off as you go around.

Step 2: Pvc Pipe, Card Board.

take your 6 inch pvc pipe and glue it to the top of the toy controller and to the front of the tap light, this is gunna be the barrel of the gun. ok now that you have got that take about 14 peices of card board tha look like my picture down below. this is the connector of the hand gaurd to the bottem of the controller. form them to the pipe and glue them to gether and to the pipe and controller.

Step 3: The Front

the front of the gun is comprised of many small miscelaneous things connected together. not sure how to explain these items but ill try as best i can, the picture will help alot though, but here we go. take a small plasitic tube and cut it to about 2 inches, glue it to a part of the air fresheners that follow your movement. connect them to the front of the pvc pipe. then take the battery cap thing and glue it to the the small pipe. tke a plastic stick thing and connect it sort of near the front. the only thing that is understandable is to make a small cardboard fin tha will sit on the small pipe. heres the picture to hepl out with this step.

Step 4: Switch and Cardboard

ok now we are almost done sort of. make a card board peice that looks like the one in the picture. this will be glued to the other card peice. when thats glued down take your switch and rip of the part where the screws go unless you want to screw it in thats you choice, but i glued it and it is really sturdy so it can take a beating.

Step 5: More Card Board and Detail

make a card board peice that will cover the back end of the pvc pipe, this will go to the end of the peice you just made. the other peice will be like a fin but streched out, place this in the middle of the tap light connecting to the back of the card board peice that was connected like two seconds ago. take one more sheet of card board and make peices like the ones below on the back of the gun place em there on the back.

the details are easy take a button peice and connect it to the middle of the side of the back of the gun. take another button peice and place it left of the switch. finnaly its the end of this all that is needed is the gaurd so take your milk handle and place it to the bottom of the controller and the bottom of that card board peice you made in step 2.

you know what this means your done with the ray gun now all you need to do is get some paint and go paint this thing like theres no tommarow cause we all know you want to show this to all your friends that know what it is of course. hope you liked this project and make sure you check out for more instructables that are made by me. good luck and have fun.
