just recently i have received a ping pong table as a graduation present for graduating from the 8th grade.

after playing a little bit of ping pong i decided "what if i made a ping pong paddle?" and well i did.

and unlike my other instructable i made this while i was doing it. my other instructable i made before hand causing it to be a little bit hard to explain BUT ANYWAY.

have u ever wanted to make a ping pong paddle? well now you will find out how to.

Step 1: What You Need

1.saw
2.pencil
3.ping pong paddle (to work off of)
4.clamps
5.a long slab of wood (any can do fine as long as its wide and pretty thick)
6. (not pictured) jigsaw
7. sand paper

Step 2: Getting the Shape of the Paddle

put your paddle that your basing it off of and put it on the slab of wood

and now with your pencil make a square around the paddle (as shown in the second picture)
this is to make it so you have room to cut it.

Step 3: Cut Out the Square

now all you have to do is cut that square out of the slab and you do this with the saw or jigsaw but i used the saw.

and to do this all you have to do is attach the slab of wood to the table and hold it down with the clamps.

Step 4: Trace the Paddle

now with your pencil trace out the shape of the paddle on your square of wood.

Step 5: Cutting Out the Paddle

now this is the hard part. but if you have experience with the jigsaw then you will do fine.

although i was not so lucky and i have not used the jigsaw before so my paddle is uneven and is a little bit curved. but o well!

Step 6: Finishing Touches

now sand it down with the sand paper to smooth out the handle and the paddle.

as you can see the paddle handle is curved. that was a mess up with the jigsaw but it was for the better because it is a good handle!

Step 7: Extra Finishing Touches

now that your done you can decide to add paint or add other things you want.
