A Wooden Bookmark

In case you haven't noticed by watching my videos i hate wasting "scrap"

While making another project i was left with a small strip of scrap and decided i would turn it into a bookmark.

Really quick and easy took about 1 hour including finishing.

Step 1: Plane

I took a thin smallish scrap of wood and planned it down thin and flat.

It ended up about 2mm thick

Step 2: Carving

I added a simple letter carving to it to make it more interesting than just plain.

I was just very careful not to go down to deep.

Step 3: Sand

I sanded from 320 to 1,200 to get a glass like finish,

Added 3 coats of spray lacquer to it sanding at 1,200 in between coats.

Step 4: Thats It, Job Done
