How to make a belt hole puncher

Step 1: Step 1 Making the Gear

-lazer cut or hand cut 6 gears with 3/8 inch holes in them and a one inch hole in the center of them, and make the gear 6 inches and an 1/8th in diameter.
-then glue the gears in pairs of two to get three gears
-lazier cut or hand cut 8 O rings with a one inch hole in them and has a diameter of 2 inches
-then on the sides of the gears glue an O ring.(should have two O rings left over for later)
-cut 10 3/8 inch dowels that are 9 inches long, then thirds them through the gears and glue in place.

Step 2: Step 2 the Lever

-cut a 2x2 peice that is 12 inches long.
-the on the ends drill one inch holes.
-then cut a one inch dowel to a length of12 inches
-then thread the dowel through the bottom hole and make it sit flush with one side.
-then drill on the bottom of the 2x2 a 3/8 hole deep enough to pass through the one inch dowel.
-then thread a 3/8 dowel through and then cut it flush.

Step 3: Step 4 the Drive Peice

-that a one inch deep peice and cut it 9 inches wide and 7 inches length wise.
-then mark the gear spots// mark .5 inches in and 4 inches in and a 2/8 gap in the middle,and each side then mark 1.5 down and in between each 1.5 mark a 3/8 gap//
-then take a 2x4 and cut 6 pieces that are 1.5 long and 4 inches wide.
-then shape them to fit the gear.
-then screw them in the places you marked in the previuse steps.
-then cut an inch off the bottom then hammer a nail through the middle of the cut ou peice and glue it back on.

Step 4: Step 4 Structer

-cut two side wall pieces that are one inch deep have a with of 8 inches and a height of 8 inches.
-then measure an inch down and 3 1/16 over. And mark that point and drill a one inch hole.
-then cut out the base peice with a pice that is one inch deep and is 9 inches wide and 8 inches long.
-then for the back peice you will need another peice that is one inch deep and is 11 inches wide and is 8 inches tall.
- then in the middle of that peice cut a square hole out of any size to fire your belts.

Step 5: How to Put It Together Step 5

-thread the long dowel thrrough the side wall.
- then through the gear.
- then through the last side wall.
- then glue the last o rings on the remaining dowel.
- then screw the side wall pieces to the base.
- the screw the back piece to the side walls.
- then just push and rotate the gear to put the drive piece in.
