Introduction: Cranberry Bliss Bars
Here's a recipe I adapted using a cake mix. It is my attempt to replicate the bars sold at Starbucks during the Holidays. They are very rich and full of flavor, perfect for a Holiday party at work or to make for dessert at home.
Step 1: Ingredients and Supplies
For this recipe you will need a 9" x 13" baking pan, large mixing bowl an hand mixer.
Ingredients:
Spice cake mix
3 eggs
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 sticks butter
juice of 1 orange
1/2 cup dried cranberries (Craisins)
1/2 bag white chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
.....................................................................
Frosting:
1 package cream cheese
4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
....................................................................
Topping:
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 bag white chocolate chips, melted
Step 2: Cake Batter
Mix together the cake mix, 3 eggs, 2 sticks of butter (softened) and can of sweetened condensed milk.
Add the juice of 1 orange. Mix with electric mixer for 2 minutes on low.
Stir in 1 cup chopped pecans, 1/2 cup dried cranberries and 1/2 bag of white chocolate chips.
Blend well.
Step 3: Bake
Pour batter into a 9" x 13" cake pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.
Allow to cool for 1 hour before frosting.
Step 4: Frosting
Mix together the cream cheese and 4 cups powdered sugar. add vanilla.
Frost cake.
Step 5: Topping
sprinkle 1/2 cup dried cranberries over frosting.
Melt 1/2 bag white chocolate chips in microwave for 15 seconds. Stir.
Repeat one or 2 more times until chips are melted.
Drizzle over dried cranberries.
Allow the white chocolate to set, about 20 minutes.
Cut into 16 pieces and serve.
Enjoy!

I used to work at Starbucks, and when these came around for the year I would eat way too many of them. They have to be one of the best desserts out there. This recipe looks really promising and pretty simple too. I can't wait to try it!
I think if you bake them in a 12" x 16" jelly roll pan & bake them for 25-30 min they would be more like the ones at Starbucks, but I didn't have a jelly roll pan. :-(
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
