Deep Dish Taco Pie

Deep Dish Taco Pie
I was looking through the refrigerator and found a couple of packs of dinner rolls about to expire...what to do with them ? I used to make a deep dish hamburger pie using bisquick dough and figured why not take that idea and run, here's what I did

Step 1Gathering

The list of ingrediants is short.
 2lbs of ground beef (sub in turkey or chicken if your prefer)
 steak sauce
 worchesshire sauce
 taco seaoning
 2 packages of dinner rolls
 can of tomato soup  (not pictured, I though to add it after I added the taco seasoning to the meat)
 chopped onion
 chopped pepper
 grated cheese (chedder in this case)

I think I'll have to try this for dinner tonight--though I have no fridgie rolls, so i guess I'll have to go back to your bisquik base. Still pretty simple. Thanks for it!

This dish is AWESOME! I modified mine a bit - used croissant dough ('cause I couldn't find roll dough), added corn, black beans, and roasted diced tomatoes along with the taco seasoning to make it a little more cassarole-y. Even my kids inhaled it!

Great idea, and very inspiring. Congrats on the "Feature", too!

The cast iron skillet was what pushed me over the edge. I simply must make this now. BRB, running to the store for ingredients. :) (I look for any excuse I can find to use my cast iron skillet...)

used ground turkey, 1lb (since I had a smaller dish), and cheddar.  wife likes it!
