Step 1: Prepare Pipes

Cut two 2cm diameter PVC pipes to 13.5 cm each. And one 1.5cm diameter to 16cm. Drill two small holes at 11cm mark on one of the pipes.

Step 2: Drill Holes on the Top Box

Drill two 2 cm diameter holds at the bottom of top box.

Step 3: Attach the Pipes

Flip the top box and attach the two pipes and fix them with hot glue

Step 4: Attach the Pipe to Pump

Add the 16 cm PVC pipe to the pump.

Step 5: Place the Pump

Place the pump at the bottom box.

Step 6: Putting It Together

Put the boxes together and fill the upper box with hydroton and get the pump on timer. Attach a funnel to the pipe for feeding fish and add water.

Step 7: Add the Plants

Normally, the plant should be transplanted into the hydroton with their root wasted off the dirt. There is also another way to use this. The pots bought in the market can be put directly on top of the hydroton with the holes in the bottom touching the water. The nutrient water gets wicked up in the soil and keep the soil moist. With enough nutrient delivered this way, the plants grow happily without the need to replot the plants into bigger pots. The plan also gets water automatically from the bottom. There is no need to water them.
