Is there a shirt out there that you don't want to spend the money on and you wish you could make.? Well here is a tutorial that will help you out with your graphic tee needs. :D

Step 1: Find and Edit Design

I decided on a logo from the game Borderlands.

If you want your design to be perfect on your shirt, make sure it's the right size. People tend to go wrong with the size if they are making their own graphic tees.

Just put your image in paint. Use a ruler on your chest to figure out how big you want your design and then make that happen on the screen.

Zoom in Change the size with the resize button until it is the right size. The resize tool is based on percentage. It starts at 100. If you need it a little bigger, put in 110 in the horizontal box and press enter. Still need it bigger? keep adding a little more until you like the size. If you want to undo a mistake you made, just press ctrl U. Works every time.

. It's easy.

Step 2: Trace It

Take your freezer paper, shiny side down, and tape it to the screen on your computer.

Then just start tracing your design. Just don't press down too hard. It is a computer after all.

Step 3: Cut It Out...

Use your exacto knife to cut out your design. Make sure that if there are any peices that are inside of letters or are cutouts that you need to make your design work, that you keep them and don't let them get away.

ex. inside of the P, O, or R

Step 4: Iron It On...

Iron your design down to your shirt. You need to make sure that it is as centered as you can get it.

Lay your shirt down flat and figure out where the exact center is. Line that up with the exact center of your design. and then figure out how high or low you want your design.

Step 5: Paint It...

I kinda went crazy at this part. I figured you could just go all over the place with your paint...which you probably can, but I put down like 8 coats of paint...not a good idea.

If you want to do a color that is a bit transparent, it is a good idea to put down white first.

If you're doing black, one coat should be sufficient. But it's harder to get some colors to come in very bright without looking patchy.

If you think you have an odd color you should absolutely do a test first. just make a quick design with the freezer paper of something like a square and try it out on a piece of fabric you have laying around. You don't want to mess up your final product.
