Introduction: New "Flip Flop" Irrigation! Collects Solar Heat, Integrated Bird Scare, Kinetic Sculpture Too!

The DIY Flip flop is a multifunctional device. Water drips into the flipflop and when it reaches a certain height it suddenly dunks out on the soil. Bells, a picture or  a kinetic sculpture can be attached to it and they move when it flips.   If the water drips down corrugations is metal or plastic, it can collect solar heat  and deliver it to the plant roots where it is most needed in spring.   After falling into the planter it drips evenly down along the bottom wood. Prior to using this all the water was landing in more or less one place and even though it is lots of water, some plants were dry.  This is part of the pallet garden project.  It is an earthquake preparedness project.  All our garden irrigation in Victoria are water supply based.  However this is independent of water supply and it will be off grid in a couple of weeks too!  Playlist with more details is at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkzXlmAwZTZcZ1F_EdWJGmoCyPm6A9Gne&feature=view_all
