Does it work with all games?

im not Zach but i know that as long as u have the right buttons it should work 4 all games

Almost all of the links no longer work. Anywhere to find these DIY instructions ? Thanks

I found the old links in archive.org. Hope that helps.

https://web.archive.org/web/20150509165411/http://zachariahperry.com/2011/03/23/grape-64-how-to-information/

you NEED to sell these

You've Bassically Made An Older Version Of The Wii U But Instead Of The Wii,It's A NINTENDO 64!

The Nintendo 64 U! :D

no, it's more of a gameboy 64, right..?

The GB64 makes much more sense. Never compare the retro systems to newage. Retro games > newage games

hey zachariah i was wondering if you have made a gamecube portable possibly after you made this one? because i want to make a gcp but i dont know if the case for this n64 would be ok for a gamecube portable... what do you think? and where did you get all the information toi build with? benheck?

that would be incredibly difficult because you would be dealing with discs.

wiikey fusion on gamecube

Hey, someone's trying to make money off of your build ideas.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1992016895/n64-portable-console-build-your-own-kit

wow that is amazing I want to try to build one but how did you put the Nintendo logo and the Nintendo name on the casing
Wow! Keep up the good work!
OMG i am so making one of these.
What kind of batteries did you use? (Amperage, voltage, quantity, pcb)
This is so cool! Defiantly going to make one
THIS CANNOT BE SOLD. Its for copywrite reasons, so give this guy a break and dont ask. =D
Since I have a few of the early model N64 that can be RGB modded and some PSOne screens, I'd use them for true RGB and a 5" screen. Otherwise this is very helpful. Now to get off my lazy rear and get started...
Holy cheesy nachos!
that is BOSS!
you should seriosly sell those!
I would add at least 2 more things: 4 controler inputs and AV outputs.
Maybe a slot for a n64 transfer pak or a rumble pak also
Are you sello oneof those? I would very badly want it! Name your price.

(+[__]::)
see thats my point any one would buy them and is it possable to plug in more controlers
i would so buy that
will you sell these
i would buy 2
might you be selliing thoughs???
that could get you some chich change
It's weird when the project of the day isn't really an instructable, and is instead publicity linking you to an outside website.
I agree. Take some time to post an instructable, not just a link.
While this is true, he still shows us how to do it. In the end, that's what matters, right?
I can't argue with that!

I just want instructables to get a tad more credit. or else it'll become a link dump.

I mean there's only one step...
iv been preparing for my own attempt im thinking of integrating a gameshark with 4 controller inputs and a A/V out in a 1/8th plug. i have even done a sketchup model my only problem now is finding a good screen and finding the time
This is very incredible, this is something I would like to try and make.
What do you use to make ur black cart slot?
I have made one myself. They do not take that much time if you are dedicated to the task. I used an old portable dvd player that did not work all too well (reading disc wise) and then i took the dvd player and refitted it to allow n64 games to come from the top of the casing and i put a power switch on the side. problem: only 4 hrs before it dies but i am about ready to install a portable charger outlet on one to allow me to charge it in a car bc i was an idiot and forgot to keep the charger car charger from the dvd player attached. btw 400 in my opinion is ripping yourself off BUT you are a good guy :)
Your system also looks much better than mine. what do you use for the casing?

do you think it would be possible to use the hardware in an SNES system to do the same thing? let me know what you think please.

He really is a good guy. And extremely talented too! But to answer your question, he said he used an 8x5x1 Plano Large Fly Fishing Box for his case, he ripped out the compartments and everything, and scrubbed the residue off for hours til it was good and clean. I myself am going to try this bad boy out when i get all the equipment i need, ive been researching for weeks now, and im pretty sure ive got a good foundation. im gonna try to make it exactly like his Grape 64 because it looks extremely impressive. Its rare to find portable n64s even worth looking at lol xD im in LOVE with this one. Zacariah...mad kudos to you.
My mind has exploded this is insanity
That is honestly one of the sickest things i have ever seen! how much would you want to make and sell one to me? I'm being dead serious i want one!!
I charge $400, mostly because it takes around a month to complete, and the parts are expensive.
Oh my dear God...
I'm actually 100% serious.
I would like one of these SO MUCH.
Pleeease get back to me soon.
I'm willing to wait a month,
and to pay the $400.!
Thanks. -Kacie.
hey man so do you have a site you sell them from? i have to have it bro!!!
I would love one of these!! I'm legitimately interested, too! please message me!
ill pay you 400 for it here is my email bballacv94@aol.com
Wow! nice job, I am making an n64 portable also.
Ahhh this is brilliant. What is the process involved in making the plastic shells for these kind of things? I literally have no idea. Seriously epic finish on it though man, congratulations.
Can I like buy it off of you? D:
This is great and i'd like one XD

=O i want one!!!!!!!
