Picture of How to Make Pop Can Coasters
Coasters are nice things to use to protect wood from unwanted moisture, the kind that beads up on cold glass or metal containers.  Here is a coaster that will please the man in your life.  Use the empty can from their favorite soft drink, (or beer) to decorate these coasters.  It will make them happy to place their next can of drink on to the matching coaster.  So here is how to make them.

Step 1:

a very cool idea. will definitely be doing this one, however I'm going to try to add some glass with a border around it to the top of the coaster.
This needs a like button....favorite works but like buttons would show how many people like it!

A good tip when cutting soda cans, fill them with water, and freeze them, then work on them. less cuts, more safe. :)

I used it because it was a hefty book and I'm not ashamed of being LDS. There are at least 2 more of us on Instructables that I know of, besides our friend from Sweden below. Thanks for commenting.

Very nice! I didn't know E6000 won't stick to the plastic grocery bag......that alone was worth this instructable!
