How to Propose with a Fortune Cookie

Looking for a unique way to "Pop the Question"? Then you have to try this foolproof fortune cookie recipe. (cookie recipe inspired by mom's who think.com)  While I can't guarantee you'll get a "yes", I can guarantee you'll put a smile on your partner's face.

This recipe make 8-10 cookies so you'll have plenty of opportunity to make the perfect one.

I opted to bake the ring into the cookie but you can also present the ring separately.

Good Luck!

Thank you so much for the post! I told my friend about it and it gave him the idea to do this with a bit of a spin on it. After some googleing he got a giant fortune cookie (about the size of a football!!) from http://www.fortuneweddingfavors.com and surprised her after a nice dinner in a fancy restaurant. She said yes!
I'm glad you put this up because it gave them the idea for a memorable engagement idea. (sorry if link is not allowed)

Is the canola oil for the batter or greasing the sheet?

This is a great idea... as long as your future fiance doesn't just bite in to fortune cookies like I do!

How funny! I always go straight for the fortune. I didn't even think about someone biting into the cookie first.

Nice. I did this about 10 years ago. Just a plain cookie. I brought it with us to our favorite Thai restaurant and switched it with the real one when she wasn't looking. It worked :)

Neat idea for a romantic proposal..

While a mans hand delivers the goods,
it is a female hand making the cookies :-)

Women proposals aren't so unheard of these days, but my goal is definitely to have some men give it a whirl. ;)
