Aside from the P90 and the M4A1, the MP5K is probably one of the most attempted builds here at Instructables. I think I counted 20-some versions, but to be honest, I was never really satisfied with any of them. They always seemed to have something wrong with them. One might have a good magazine-well setup, but the grip was in a bad/incorrect position, another had a good grip setup, but the rest of the body was badly done, etc. So I decided to try my hand at the venerable MP5K PDW, and this is what I came up with.

While I am not entirely happy with my version, after all, it does not have a complete front sight, I think that it is a good start. With its nice grip and magazine-well setup, it is a good looking PDW.

Features:
- Internal magazine lock
- Comfortable body/front grip/stock setup
- 10 - 20 rd. magazine
- Nice sights
- Nice, sturdy, stock

As of yet, the range is untested, as I have been gone at debate tournaments or busy working on debate, but I'll test it sometime later this week.

Keep and eye out for my brother's 1967 MP5K Prototype later on!

Here are some internals:

where does the stock connect?

My guess would be the blue rod, above the handle and underneath that red connector on pic 3 of the internals.
I think it connects with a y clip to it, but as I'm not Reddie, I can't know for sure.

i'm gona try as well... like you I was not completely satisfied with the other versions

so this is what I will build...

on the magazine, how did you connect the white connectors together? Or were they not connected? I will be using this magazine in a future build.

The only connected parts are the orange connector + green rod front part of the magazine. View the above pics for more info.

Can't believe I hadn't noticed yours but had seen your brother's

Amazing as always!

Its all good, and thanks man!

I wondered when you'd post : )

Oh, you know me, ASAP. Kinda. =D

=P

Awsome and have favorited, can't wait for the MP5K prototype, if he posts internal pictures or instructions, it will get a review

Thanks man, I'm glad you like it!

Well there quite a few of your guns that are in my favourites

Great! Thanks for your support!

Would you mind Red since I subscribed to you, can you subscribe (follow) me so you will know when I have posted a review or instructions.

I think I am follwoing you..

No you weren't on my followers list but thanks a lot Red, really appreciate it. I 'am using a part of the Dragunov in a another creation later this year which I will credit you.

Well, I made sure to follow you. =D

Check out my Ray Gun

Looks nice man

Thanks man!

Very nice Red, this looks great! Very accurately replicated, gotta love that stock! :-)

Thanks man! Yeah, I like it too!

Clean. I like it!

Thanks man!

Dang darn, another beautiful gun I need to build! Jeez, I thought I had enough knex, but I can't build more than six guns at a time. Great job!

XD, 6 guns and you are still not happy? Wow, how ungrateful can you get? I have three built right now (MP5K PDW, 1967 MP5K Prototype, and a SMRI IAN), and I am utterly content. Just got two more black rods so now I have have all three guns ready to use all at once!

I am glad you like it, but I don't think that I'd suggest you build it... unless, of course, you want to improve it.

Well hmmmm... I don't know if I want to get into another project yet.. I got some other projects waiting but I definitely want to make this, or your brothers.

Sure, I can relate.

My brother would like this

XD, I'm sure he would (I have no idea who you brother is, so I assume that that sentence came across badly).

Cool! I like the mag!

Thanks man, I'm glad you like... the mag...? XD

Yes I like it :D
