Make Your Own Hair Bows At Home

Make Your Own Hair Bows At Home

Hair bows and clips are currently the hottest trend, but purchasing these accessories is extremely costly. So, why spend the money when you can create your own hair bows with my free hair bow patterns?

Before you begin you will need some supplies:

  • -scissors
  • -alligator clip of your choice
  • -3/8" grosgrain ribbon
  • -7/8" grosgrain ribbon
  • - hot glue gun with glue sticks
  • -needle and thread

I received feedback that its hard to find alligator clips and ribbon without buying in bulk. Therefore, I sell kits for $5 + shipping with 5 alligator clips, and 5 pre-cut ribbons both 3/8" and 7/8" in different patterns  You can email me aubrey@simplycoutureboutique.com if you would like to purchase a kit.  To select the ribbon you would like, just browse the www.simplycouture.etsy.com website. I have the ribbon for nearly every bow on the site. Please just reference the ribbon you would like included in the email. For your protection I will set up an special order in my Etsy store and you can purchase your kit with no worries.

I just found this instructible. Looks great!! Im going to have to make some for my daughter and my neice who was just born.

Question though. Under Step 9 Picture 5 You have spiraled grosgrain ribbon. Someone told me recently that to make that you wrap the ribbon around a pencil or dowel and put it in the oven. Is that true? and if it is what temp and how long?
