With Zoolander 2 coming out, I thought it would be fun to share a Orange Mocha Frappuccino recipe. I was watching Zoolander a few months ago and when the scene came up where the male models went to get Orange Mocha Frappuccinos, my husband asked if I had tried that flavor combination net. I hadn't, so I went in the kitchen and mixed one up. Orange and chocolate are a great combination so it makes sense that they would make a pretty tasty frappuccino.

Step 1: Supplies

This recipe is a single serving and makes about the equivalent of a 16oz Grande from Starbucks.

Caffeine-Free Version:

Replace coffee with milk.

Topping Suggestions:

*Torani has pointed out that some of their fruity syrups are acidic like real fruit and could possibly cause milk to curdle. Their suggestion to avoid this is to mix the syrup with the coffee and then add that to the milk. Adding the syrup to the coffee "dilutes the acidity of the syrup."

Step 2: Blend and Top

Blend everything together and top with your choice of toppings.

I decided to use whipped topping (as usual), chocolate shavings, and orange zest. The zest looked nice, but I didn't like when the taste of it. Use it if you want, it won't add to the flavor or anything, but it makes it look fancy.

Step 3: Enjoy

Am I the only one who hears "Wake me up before you go-go" everytime I check this instructable?

Fantastic job!

Nope! I hear it too :) Thanks!

Looking delicius, maybe candied orange zest would be better for looks and flavour? Got to try it out one day :)

Yeah, definetly! I've never done any candied fruit. Do you think you'd candy the orange and then zest it?

I can't really remember how it's done, so I found a recipe on candied orange :)
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchens/candied-orange-recipe.html
In short: you cut the peel/zest to the desired size, blanch it and cook in sugar syrup until translucent. Shouldn't be too hard ;)
Oh, and the leftover syrup might have orange taste... oh the possibilities :D

Nice! Thanks for sharing :)

wow I looked at your other frapaccion thing and it looked great and so does this you are a very talented person

Thank you :)

You are just so talented!

Thank you! Or just very addicted to sugar ;)
