Pan Pipe With Straws

What you need:
• 8 straight straws
• Scissors
• Ruler
• Masking tape
• Marker

Step 1:

Measure and cut your straws to these lengths: 7.7 inches, 6.7 in., 6.1 in., 5.7 in., 5.1 in., 4.5 in., 3.9 in., and 3.7 in.  Cut 7 spacers about 1 in. long.

Step 2:

Label the straws 1–8, with 1 being the longest one.

Step 3:

Tape the straws together in order from longest to shortest. To space the straws, place the spacers between the long straws.
Lay a piece of tape sticky side up and lay your straws on in order.  Place another piece of tape on top of that and press the ends together to secure the straws. 
Repeat tape near the bottom of the straws.

Step 4:

To play: Hold the pipe vertically below your lips. Blow across the tops of the straws.
