Halloween lights are great for decorating! They can make your haunted scenes just as, if not more interesting at night than during the day. But sometimes, (and we've all done it before), we get too overexcited and connect too many light strings together, resulting and a blown fuse, and a string of non-working lights. It is quite easy to fix this problem by replacing the fuse of the lights, all it takes are a few tools and two spare minutes.

Step 1: Materials

You will need:

-A string of lights with a blown fuse.
-Two replacement fuses that match your voltage requirements.
-A thin tool to pry the blown fuses out of the plug.

Step 2: Removing the Blown Fuses

Slide the fuse cover forward on the plug of your light string. Next, use your tool to remove the two blown fuses from the plug of the lights. Discard them, they are useless and are now considered hazardous waste.

Step 3: New Fuses

Take the two replacement fuses, and insert them into the plug. It does not matter which direction they go in; they are not polarized like batteries. When finished, slide the plug end shut.

Step 4: Done!

Your Halloween lights should now work again! Have fun decorating!

If they do not work, a bulb may be damaged, or broken, or the wire may have been damaged. These are both easy fixes that should be covered in the instructions for the lights. The fuse replacement, however, is not (at least on any of my lights).
