In this instructable we are going to make this scary looking led eyes which can be controlled using a trigger switch

Step 1: CUT THE TEMPLATE

Take a cardboard of required length and divide it into three parts. Cut the desired shape of eyes on it in one part

Step 2: REFLECTOR

Stick a white sheet on inside of the center part. This will help to reflect the light through the eyes

Step 3: THE LIGHT

Now stick the required number of LEDs on the inside of cardboard just below the eyes. Connect these LEDs in parallel

Step 4: FOLD THE CARDBOARD

Fold the cardboard in the form of triangle as shown in picture

Step 5: BATTERY

Use a proper power source to light the LEDs. In this case i am using a 3.6v rechargeable battery to power these LEDs. If we use a 9v battery then we can connect 4 LEDs in series and two such chains in parallel.

Step 6: COVER AND PAINT

Now close all the open ends of cardboard with some more cardboard and glue. Paint the whole thing black to make it unnoticeable in the dark. After painting test the light to see if the light is visible from any other place except the eyes.

Step 7: TRIGGER SWITCH

Stick two small push switches on a small wooden strip using some hot glue and place a smaller wood piece over the switches. This increases the surface area of switch. The two push switches are connected in parallel

Step 8: WIRE

Connect this trigger switch to the light using thin wire like enameled copper wire of 26 gauge. on one end connect the two wires to two terminals of switches and on the other end connect one wire to positive terminal and the other wire to the positive terminal of LEDs. The negative terminal of battery is directly connected to negative terminal of leLEDs through a 68 ohm resistor.

Step 9: TEST AND ENJOY !!

Test the trigger and enjoy scaring !!

Place the trigger under a pillow or a book and hide the led eyes in a dark place so that when someone keeps their hand on that pillow or book then the lights switch on scaring them.
