Have you ever wanted to make sheet music flowers to display in your living room, hang on your wall, or give to your friends? Well, here's a super simple way to make them speedy quick with no special supplies! Just follow these instructions and in less than 10 minutes you will have your very own sheet music flowers!

Step 1: Materials

Here are the materials you will need:

-Three 4" by 4" sheet music squares
-Scissors
-Tape
-Forest Green Pipe Cleaner
-Toothpick
-Ruler

Step 2: The Squares

First, print out 1 sheet of music from the internet. I usually just go to google images, find a random page of music, copy it, paste it into a word document, enlarge it, and print it out! Next, take the sheet and measure out 3 four by four squares. Cut them out.

Step 3: Folding

After doing so, you need to take one square and fold it diagonally into a triangle. Fold two more times diagonally into a triangle.

Step 4: The Cutting

Next take the small triangle (that should be about 2" by now) and find the corner that was originally at the center of the square. This may sound confusing at first, but if you aren't sure just unfold the triangle, keeping track of whichever corner turns out the be in the center of the square.

After you find it, snip about an eighth of an inch off the corner. This will be for the hole.

Next cut a round petal-like end from the two other corners. Check out the pictures to see what I mean. It should be curvy on one side, the other having the snipped corner.

Repeat these steps with the 2 other squares you cut in step 2.

Step 5: Connecting

Unfold all 3 flower shapes. You need to cut out one petal from the first flower and dispose of the petal. From the second flower, cut out 2 petals and dispose of them. However, on the third flower, cut out three (and they should be stuck together still, do NOT cut them apart) and KEEP the excess petals.

You will now use all four of the big petal shapes. Tape together the edges on each one, and you should start to see the flower cone shapes.

Step 6: Curling

Now that you have each section taped together, you can curl the petals with a toothpick to make them look gorgeous! Roll the petal's edge up with the toothpick, then pull up and out on the toothpick to finish it off and get the toothpick out. There are many ways of doing this, but I find that this way works best. You will get the hang of it and understand what I mean as you curl your petals.

Step 7: Attach and Secure

The next step is to string all the flowers from smallest to biggest onto a pipe cleaner. I prefer dark green because it accents the flower. Push them together and twist a small ball-like knot at the top end of the pipe cleaner. It should be bigger than the hole of the first smallest flower. Pull the pipe cleaner through the holes all the way until it stops. Now make another knot at the bottom to finally secure the flower. Make the remaining pipe cleaner length as straight as can be.

Step 8: You Are Finished!

Congratulations! You have made your very own Sheet Music Paper Flower! Give it to a friend, put it in a vase, or hang it on your wall to showcase its beauty and your wonderful craftsmenship!
