These chocolate covered strawberry footballs are perfect for tailgates or the big game! You will need strawberries (washed and dried), milk or dark chocolate chips or melting chocolate, white chocolate chips or melting chocolate, shortening, a melting pot (or other device for melting chocolate), wax paper, pan, and a piping bag.

Step 1: Step 1: Dipping

Melt milk or dark chocolate chips or melting chocolate. Add about half a tablespoon shortening to the melted chocolate. Dip strawberries in the hot chocolate and set them on a tray lined with wax paper. Let sit in a cool place such as a fridge or freezer. I set mine outside on the snow which worked fine.

Step 2: Step 2: White Chocolate Time

Melt white chocolate or white vanilla chocolate and let it cool for a minute or two before transferring it to a piping bag. Let this cool first or you can burn yourself (lesson learned)

Step 3: Step 3: Lines

Hold your piping bag filled with melted white chocolate and decorate the chocolate covered strawberries as illustrated.

Step 4: Serve!

After letting the chocolate harden (let chill more depending on consistency) you can serve your marvelous football strawberries! These treats will definitely be a touchdown at your party or tailgate!!
