This is a sled I made for my RIDGID-r-4511 granite top table saw..

It has a removable, Plexiglas blade guard...For cleaning..Never seen one before, Thought I'd get creative...The sleds base is 1/2 inch plywood.

The runners are solid oak..

I trued the fence, using the four cut method..

Waxed my granite top...slides like a dream..

Step 1:

im really glad people can post anything on instructables.

we have knex projects. a plywood sheet used as a slide that's only leaning on a wall. and now this.

congrats.

Please refer to this recall notice on this saw.

https://www.ridgidforum.com/forum/power-tools/woodworking-discussion-forum/28327-r4511-table-saw-recall-notice

Although it looks like it's pretty well-built, I'm not sure if that's true, seeing how it seems that you completely missed the point of this website and what people post. I was certainly eager to see the process in photos and the directions of its build typed out, but to my disappointment, there's not even one step. Please update this or make another one, explaining as you go through the steps when you construct it... Although its only a tease, Thanks for sharing

This looks like a great sled! I've got a buddy with that same saw, and i really like it. Kinda sad that home depot only carried them for such a short time!

Do you have any photos of the build process for your sled? Any additional photos and descriptions you could add would be great for anyone not particularly familiar with how to build a nice sled. Just a thought! :)

Welcome the site!
