Introduction: Alien: the Alien Egg

About: Just a huge movie geek, looking to get a little bit of the movies in my life.

"The pit is completely enclosed. And it's full of leathery objects, like eggs or something." -Kane (Alien)

Is a simple idea. I have some left over ballons, newspaper, flower and water. what cah I possibly make. Just an AWESOME alien egg. Now, what your going to need is-

Ballons- $4.00
Duct tape- found around house
Newspaper- 0.99
Flour and Water- sink and shelf
Wire- $2.00

now that you have that, put in the movie ALIENS and have fun.

Step 1: The Shape

The shape was pretty easy to make. First I went out to walmart a got a bag of baloons. I When I got home, I blew one up and started to cover with paper mache. I covered it with 3 layers then poped my baloon. After that I had a perfect shape.

Step 2: The Organic Living Egg (and Lots of Ductape)

My original Idea was to paint with molding latex. But after I saw that ductape looked better and took less time, I did that insted. I covered the entire thing with ductape and I left it until about a few inches down from the top.

What realy helps, is putting a green bowtie on your cat. This is the most imortant part, so take as much time as you need.

Step 3: The Opening

What I then did was put four strips of duct tape in a line and four more on top. I cut it into the shape that it was in the movie. I did this three more times and cut off the top of the paper mache dome.

Step 4: It Is ALIVE!!!!

I taped the opening things to the egg. Now in order for it to bend, I took some wire stuff I found around the house and taped it onto the opening things, and the egg. I coverd it with more tape. and was done.

Step 5: The Final Egg

I am now done painting. I just gave it the paint job of yellow, cream, and olive. it looks really good in a video I made.
