Introduction: Waterproofing an LED - the Easy Way

Have you ever wanted to stick an LED in some water, and watch it glow? Wanted to make something involving sticking an LED in water? Well I'm going to tell you a pretty simple and obvious tutorial.

1x LED
1x Hot Glue Gun w/ Hot Glue Gun Sticks

And that's all you need!

Let's get started. I'm pretty sure you can guess you can tell what we're going to do.

UPDATE:
Going to add real world images soon.

Step 1: Preparing Everything

First of all, plug in your hot glue gun, pretty simple. Get out your LED(s). Wait a while, let it heat up.

Step 2: Glueing It!

Well, the next thing is simple. Lightly spread the hot glue over the exposed metal. Do not leave a gap between the glue and the plastic of the LED. Sure, it may look tacky, but if you do it right, and no too sloppy, it'll look fine. I might post another tutorial later to do it better. Let it cool and enjoy!

Step 3: Doing This to Wire.

If you would like to extend the LED or waterproof exposed wire. Just put hot glue over it. Make sure the wire is soldered, and then cover the solder with hot glue.
